No, there is no audition in front of a panel. We do ask you for a short video of a piece you have played recently, so that we can get to know you musically and gauge the level.

We work on music at an ambitious amateur level (for wind players: around level D3). You should be confident on your instrument and keen to work towards a major symphonic work over the course of a semester. Experience in orchestral or chamber music is recommended!

No. We are students, apprentices and everyone who did not want to stop playing after school or university. A music degree is not a requirement – most of us study something entirely different.

Mondays from 7:00 to 10:00 pm during the semester, plus additional rehearsal days and one rehearsal weekend per semester.

At Karlstraße 32 in Munich, a few minutes from Königsplatz underground station (U2) and about 10 to 15 minutes from the main station and Karlsplatz/Stachus.

Mostly bilingually in German and English – you do not need to speak German to play with us.

Nothing. Our concerts are deliberately free of charge. If you would like to, you can support us with a donation – every contribution pays for sheet music, rooms and instruments.

Yes. As a non-profit association we issue donation receipts. Up to 300 euros the tax office will usually accept your bank statement; above that, simply write to us at orchesterfreunde@accento-muenchen.de.
